Our Vision for You

We at Servants Network want to be a blessing to all groups who plan a mission trip with us. We will do all in our power to make your stay with us safe and unforgettable. God can speak to you clearly here, away from your home where you might be too busy with everyday chores. We will share the vision God has given this ministry, which is one of service.

We serve not only the families that we house but the needy in our neighborhood. We want you to experience as much of the culture as possible, yet at the same time, we must ask you to be sensitive to it.

We know that your visit to La Roca is one of giving, yet we are constantly told by people when they leave that they are taking home more than they gave. The unity and love you feel from our families and staff will leave you speechless. The joy in the faces of the children, who seem to have little reason to be smiling, is mind-boggling. So get ready for a life changing mission trip!

Our Goals for You

FAQ

Where will my group sleep?
Men and women will stay in separate quarters. Whether it is in a sitting room or in the chapel, you can be assured it is safe and private. We have a limited number of mattresses so bring an air mattress if you prefer. Bring sleeping bags and pillows.

What will we do for a project once there?
This depends on two things, your budget and the skill of your group. There is a list of projects that is updated regularly and many options to suit your budget, what ever it may be. One of the things you need to remember is to remain flexible. Once you are at the home, other projects may come up that you might feel inclined to be a part of.

Is the mission safe?
Yes. In all the years we have housed groups we have not had an incident. Although not related to safety, one common concern is too much sun and not enough water. We always suggest to the leaders to make sure their groups take in lots of water, especially those not used to the heat.

Speaking of water . . . Can we drink the water?
We only use bottled or filtered water for personal consumption. So, YES you can drink the water. (Just don't drink the tap water or the water in the shower). You are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you desire.
